The Executive Committee has agreed for CUFSAA-NA to serve as the fiscal sponsor for the CMB77 Group’s 50th Anniversary Project at the University of Colombo (UOC) Faculty of Science. CUFSAA-NA collected donations from CMB77 alumni and friends in North America that will partially support planned improvements to the Student Service Center (SSC) conference dining hall. Disbursement of funds will be upon receipt of authorized invoices and project expenses.
The initial phase of the project includes the purchase of 20-40 dining furniture sets (one table and four chairs per set at LKR 86,000 per set. (June 2026 Price). The estimated cost is ~ USD 5,250-10,500. Subject to available funding, additional items such as a digital display (TV) screen and two wall-mounted air-conditioning units may also be considered. The total Project cost could be ~USD 15,000, with CUFSAA collection of ~USD 10,000.
